FRC Ordinance

The City of Shelton, Connecticut, has established a Fair Rent Commission to address complaints regarding excessive rental charges and ensure fairness in rental practices. The commission is authorized to investigate complaints, conduct hearings, and take appropriate action to regulate rental conditions, including limiting rent increases. It also has the power to issue fines for non-compliance.
