FRC Ordinance

The Manchester Housing and Fair Rent Commission aims at promoting affordable housing and regulating excessive rental charges. It consists of nine members, appointed for three-year terms by the Board of Directors, with a balance between political parties and nonprofit housing organizations. The Commission’s duties include acting as the Fair Rent Commission, hearing complaints about rental charges, and enforcing fair rent policies. It also works to foster collaboration between public and private sectors to enhance housing availability. The Commission is responsible for issuing decisions on rental charge disputes in compliance with state statutes.
