The President issues a variety of documents, including proclamations, executive orders, signing statements, and messages to Congress. Proclamations and executive orders are first published in the Federal Register and then incorporated into Title 3 of the Code of Federal Regulations. The Compilation of Presidential Documents includes orders, proclamations, nominations, announcements, transcripts of speeches and press conferences, and other legally significant documents. The Daily Compilation of Presidential Documents replaced the Weekly Compilation of Presidential Documents in January, 2009.
