Introduction
Accuracy in cite-checking is essential. To ensure that footnotes support what the author says they do and that the information included in the footnote is sufficiently accurate and complete to allow the reader to locate the cited source, cite-checkers spend lots of time in the library to verify the substance of each footnote. As one of the largest legal research centers in the country, University of Connecticut School of Law Library has a collection of over 400,000 volumes of books, journals, etc., and about 500,000 microforms. This guide will help you start with your first cite-checking assignment. Please come to the Reference Desk and talk to a refernce librarian if you have questions
